1. Now that summer is (almost) over, what's the one thing you're looking forward to getting back to?
When my twins Emma and Jake were younger, they’d giggle endlessly while jumping through piles of leaves. It’s the sweetest reminder of the simple pleasures that fall brings. Crisp air, a gorgeous rainbow of leaves, and, of course, lots of laughter.

2. What are your three words to live by?
Kiss my babies. Inspired by Diane Sawyer’s interview with Jaycee Dugard, I’ve taken to heart her mother’s advice: Never leave home, no matter how harried the scene, without kissing your kids goodbye. Never.
3. Who do you consider an Architect of Change?
Because of my focus on helping women start and grow small businesses, I’m in awe of Diane Sawyer’s Made in America series. She is using her World News platform to inspire a commitment to support our own -- and she’s reviving (and, perhaps, saving) businesses.
4. What cause or issue are you passionate about?
I’m wild about providing women -- regardless of education, connections or capital -- with the necessary tools to profit financially from their passion and purpose through small business ownership. While many groups are focused exclusively on funding big ideas, I know that it’s the small ones -- the simple businesses like gluten-free cookies, coaching or beautiful graphic design services -- that can help ordinary women like me create careers to feed our heart and income to secure our financial future.
