Architects of Change of the Year

Here at Shriver Media, we define an Architect of Change as someone who challenges what is, imagines what can be and moves humanity forward. It can be anyone — man or woman, young or old, well known or not — who has looked at a problem or situation and had the imagination to see a better way of doing things in the future.

Today on Christmas Day, we honor some of these individuals here as our Architects of Change of the Year. These individuals are among those who have joined Maria Shriver in person for Architects of Change Live conversations and are part of a larger community of individuals who all deserve recognition for moving humanity forward. You can get inspired by many more Architects of Change by reading content on and by watching them in conversation with Maria on her Architects of Change Live Facebook show.

Below are quotes from our Architects of Change of the Year. Click on their names to watch them in conversation with Maria.

We believe that we all have the power to be Architects of Change in our own lives, in our homes and in our communities. Together, we can work to build a more caring, conscious and compassionate society.
