"The art of poetry is a divine expression, where words proceed in a glorious procession, from the mind into the 3rd dimension, bringing joy to those who know how to enjoy!"
That’s how I feel about poetry. It has a special freedom to it. It’s not bound by the same rules as prose.
This freedom is what first attracted me to it. I’ve always had a vivid imagination and poetry proved to be a wonderful tool with which to exercise it.
It’s an art form that I have fallen in, out, and back in love with. My love affair with poetry started at a very young age.

First, this piece is dedicated to the ladies, although I hope the gentlemen will be able to take something away from this as well.
Every year on February 14, millions of women and men celebrate what well all know as Valentine's Day. It's meant to be a day to show appreciation and affection to those we love and are romantically connected to -- a day filled with chocolates, roses, candles, bubble baths, and surprises. Sounds divine, right?

We are now more than a month into the year 2012. And I'm sure many of us started the year with grand plans for self improvement -- plans we classified under a paper mache umbrella named "New Years Resolutions," only to see them dashed by even the slightest downpour of life.

The holidays are here...again!
For some of us, it is a time of family bonding, tradition, great food, and new scarves. For others, it can be a time of high anxiety and stress, awkward family moments, traveling nightmares, and unnecessary financial strain.
Lost amongst the bright lights, goodwill, and indulgence are the millions of us who find ourselves completely alone for the holidays.
I was delighted when asked to write about this topic because I have vast experience flying alone through the holiday skies.

"A mind is a terrible thing to waste" -- such a profound and inspirational statement that speaks to us all.
And yet all too often we do just that, waste it, by cluttering it with thoughts of fear, anxiety, worry, resentment, anger, and expectations. The list goes on. This state of mind soon causes us to neglect our bodies; and, in a sad turn of events, we essentially waste both.
For the past nine years, I have been helping people "break up" with their minds and "make up" with their body and soul.
