My Sunday ‘To Be’ List

by STEPHANIE RUHLE

I want to be confident… not look confident, not sound confident… but actually be confident.

I want to be a person that does NOT need to “win” the room in order to feel safe in it.

I want to be the person who listens more and talks less.

I want to be comfortable doing nothing.

I want to be comfortable with my kids doing nothing.

I want to be comfortable with my work/life choices & not blame my “selfish career goals” every time my kids struggle.

I want to be a person who does not take the loyalty of my loved ones for granted (translation: be way nicer to my Mom).

I want to be someone who does not need others to believe in me in order to believe in myself.

I want to be less defensive.

I want to be less aggressive.

I want to be ON time.

I want to be well rested.

I want to be more grateful.

I want to be the girl who always washes her face, brushes her teeth & lotions up & puts on those skin softening booties before bedtime.

I want to be the person who finds light no matter how dark the situation.

I want to be described as nice.
