Discover Your Potential: 5 Top Tips On How To Be Your Best Self

by MARISA PEER

Stress, illness, and dissatisfaction are frequently signs that something needs to change…

Reaching your full potential, to be your best self, is absolutely possible when you know how to harness the most powerful potential on the planet—your mind!

Here are my top 5 tips on how to be your best self:

  1. Know that you are enough–always have been, always will be!

I have seen over and over how a simple, profound, and life-changing mantra of ‘I Am Enough‘ can build self-love and eliminate limiting beliefs and behaviors forever. What’s more, it’s free, easy and anyone can do it.

The strength of ‘I Am Enough’ as a statement of truth is in its simplicity. Even though it is simple, it is also immensely powerful and life-changing. The number one way to really love yourself is by truly believing that you are enough, no matter what.

  1. Master Your Mind

The simple truth is that the human mind has one simple job: to keep you alive as long as possible. To do that, your mind is hardwired to move you away from pain and towards pleasure. Your mind does what it thinks you want it to do based on what you tell it. So for instance, if you say “I don’t want to mess this up,” your mind will believe you don’t want to do it. When you say “I can do this perfectly,” “I can be amazing,” your mind will help you be just that.

Your mind is always listening to the words and pictures you imagine. Once you understand the Rules Of The Mind and how to work with your mind, rather than it working against you, you will stop holding yourself back, because your limiting beliefs and behaviors will cease to exist. You become the master of your mind.

  1. Set specific goals and give your mind positive clear instructions

Your mind also loves to have concrete goals to work towards. The more specific you can make these, the better. The strongest force in humans is that we must act in a way that consistently matches our thinking. Every thought you think and every word you speak forms a blueprint that your mind and body work to make your reality. Give your mind clear, specific and positive instructions and focus on what you want to achieve, not what you don’t want.

Instead of thinking, “I can’t cope,” try replacing that with “I have phenomenal coping skills.” Instead of worrying about presenting your ideas and no one is interested, try telling yourself “I radiate confidence when I’m talking to people and I come across as eloquent and knowledgeable.” You can make these even more powerful by exciting your imagination, so instead of just saying, “I want to be successful,” you say, “I am becoming super successful every day.” Give yourself positive empowering statements, such as: “Every day I am making progress… writing my book draft, working on my business, attracting funding, etc.”

You may think: “Well, I’m not the kind of person who can stick to anything; I always give up.” However, that’s just a story you’re telling yourself. You always have a choice. Remember, the words and pictures must give your mind a clear image of what you want.

  1. Take action every day in the direction of your goals

When you’re on your way to success, you must take action every day in the direction of your goals. This will make you feel like a winner. Once you begin taking action every day, you will see how powerful the practice of habit and repetition really is. This doesn’t mean you have to work seven days a week and exhaust yourself. You can enjoy your downtime far more knowing you are making consistent progress towards your goals. For instance, you can work fully on your working days but on your days off, just do one thing, such as make a call, send an email, watch a training video for 15 minutes. This allows you to stop fretting about what you could have, should have, and ought to have done. It’s the opposite of procrastination and self-sabotage. Doing one thing every day, without fail, in the direction of what you want to achieve is a guaranteed way to speed up reaching your goals. Once you do that, everything improves, as you begin to believe in yourself and your own capabilities. Then it becomes far easier to move towards everything you want in life.

  1. Do not let rejection in.

People who are successful have experienced rejection, the only difference is they do not allow it to hold them back; they bounce back. An empowering truth is that no one can hurt you without your permission. You have a choice not to let criticism in, make yourself bulletproof. Once you make that choice, then you begin to act differently, take on the air of a successful person and believe you are successful.

Do the things that successful people do and you will become successful, too.

When you do the things that successful people do, you unknowingly become more and more like them. This can have an effect on how other people treat you, how you treat yourself, and what you attract into your life. It may seem like a small step, but it’s in the service of a much bigger goal.

What has the most powerful potential on the planet? …You do!

In my 30+ years as a celebrity therapist, working with thousands of clients from royalty to rockstars, Olympians to overeaters, I discovered that the key to success is in the mind.

That’s why I developed Rapid Transformational Therapy™(RTT™) as an advanced form of hypnotherapy, working with the subconscious mind to go beyond simply treating presenting symptoms. Instead, I teach people how to understand and gain freedom from the root cause of issues, empowering anyone to transform their lives from within.
