When Marisa Cohen’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in her late 70’s it shook up the entire family. Now it was she and her brother making tough decisions, instead of her mother who had been the alpha of the family and the “smartest girl in the Bronx.” But one thing that didn’t change was her father’s love for her mother, who never lost sight of his wife of over 50 years.
